Lesson Five - Striking the right Chord.
Now that you have got a grip on the strings, the string-fret finger concept is embedded in you mind, you are ready to move one step ahead.
The chords are the background music that you hear in the songs. They are commonly used and once you get a grip on them, you can play most of the songs.
We will take baby steps here. The chords can be a little difficult to get in the beginning but with regular practice you can soon conquer them.
I will upload each chord separately.
Each day I will upload one chord. Keep practicing the old ones as you learn the new.
It takes some to get a hold of all th strings right.
It can be frustrating at times when you try to hold on Strings and also end up touching a neighboring string.
But eventually you will get the right technique.
There is no book, no teacher who can tell you your comfort zone.
In fact, the way my teacher holds the chords is a little different than me. But the more I practice I get better hold of the guitar and the chords.
Please keep practicing regularly.
I have put up some crude images I created in paint as to how you should hold the strings because I don't want 2 get into any copyright feuds.
As soon as I get some time, I will also upload some videos. But until then we have google to the rescue.
